Today, the Utah Jazz traded Drew Eubanks and Patty Mills to the Los Angeles Clippers for Mo Bamba, PJ Tucker, a second round draft pick and cash. This trade helps both teams. It's one of the rare instances where it absolutely is a win win trade.

For the Jazz, this give the franchise another piece of draft capital. Even though it is a second round pick, considering where the Jazz currently stands in its rebuild process, any draft capital is a positive. This move also frees up playing time for Jazz rookie Kyle Filipowski. Drew Eubanks is a quality NBA player who deserved playing time and his move to the Clippers does free up some minutes for other players, Whether these extra minutes can be earned by Kyle is yet unknown. That depends on Kyle and the coaches. But those minutes are now available.

For the Clippers, this move get the team under the luxury tax and also provides some flexibility heading towards the trade deadline. Clippers want to make a playoff run and will certainly be active in the closing days prior to the trade deadline in attempts to further tweek the roster. The addition of Drew Eubanks also provides the Clippers with quality backup minutes at the five spot. Drew is a player that plays very hard and he's also very tough and physical in the paint. This certainly helps the team heading toward the playoffs.

Nice trade for both teams. Everyone benefits which is rare in today's NBA.
